Changing to the Didactic Program in Dietetics

In order to be eligible for participation in the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), students must complete all of the following:

1. Attend a DPD orientation meeting prior to participation in the DPD Program – the two opportunities to join a meeting during SPRING 2023 for consideration FALL 2023 are:

Thursday, March 2 
at 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

or

Monday, April 10
at 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Meetings will be held in Cater-Mattil 124 A&B

2.  Have an overall GPR > 3.0 by the end of the fall semester;
(Student must complete a minimum of 12 credits at Texas A&M University before participation)

3.  Satisfactorily complete CHEM 101 or CHEM 119 and CHEM 102 or CHEM 120 with a “C” or above; and
(Students who have completed additional non-nutrition DPD courses must have a “C” or better in all of them)

4.  Satisfactorily complete NUTR 203 and NUTR 210 with a “B” or above;
(Students who have completed additional nutrition DPD courses must have a “B” or better in all of them)

Note: If you have not meet the eligibility guidelines by the end of this semester, it is recommended that you attend a future DPD orientation because you have to attend the semester you are planning to progress into the track.
