The Department of Nutrition advising team is committed to supporting students throughout their academic journey at Texas A&M University. As part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences advising community, Nutrition advisors work collaboratively to provide students with high-quality academic advising and individualized support from orientation through graduation.
The advising team is located in Kleberg Suite 109 and can assist with degree planning, course registration, academic policies and procedures, graduation requirements, academic success strategies, campus resources, and navigating university expectations and processes.
Students are encouraged to review the information below regarding communication, appointment scheduling, and advising expectations.

Contacting the Advising Team
For the fastest and most consistent support, students should contact the advising team through the shared departmental advising email:
This shared inbox is monitored by the advising team and helps ensure:
- Faster response times
- Consistent and accurate advising information
- Questions are routed to the most appropriate advisor
- Continued support if an advisor is out of office or unavailable
Email is typically the best initial point of contact, and many questions can often be resolved without needing to schedule an appointment. The advising team is always happy to help.
The advising team’s standard business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Students should generally expect responses to advising emails within 2–3 business days. Response times may be longer during high-volume advising periods, including pre-registration, graduation clearance, Q-drop and withdrawal deadlines, New Student Conferences, and other peak processing times.
The advising team appreciates your patience during these busy periods. To help the team respond to all students as efficiently as possible, please avoid sending repeated follow-up emails within the initial 2–3 business day response window unless your situation is urgent or time-sensitive.
Please avoid emailing individual advisors directly unless specifically instructed to do so.
Students needing to schedule an advising appointment should continue to do so through Navigate using their advisor’s direct scheduling link. Click on our undergraduate advisor profiles below to see their direct scheduling link for Navigate.

Scheduling Advising Appointments
Appointments are scheduled through Navigate. Learn how to schedule a meeting through Navigate here.
Important Appointment Availability Information
Advising appointments only open 10 days in advance.
If you attempt to book an appointment more than 10 days ahead, Navigate will display no available appointments. This does not mean advisors are unavailable or fully booked — appointments simply have not opened yet for those dates.
New appointment availability is released daily. If no appointments are currently available, students are encouraged to continue checking back regularly, especially each morning.
Preparing for Your Appointment
When scheduling an appointment in Navigate, please include relevant details regarding the topics you would like to discuss. Providing this information in advance helps advisors prepare and creates a more productive appointment experience.
Students should also carefully review whether they are scheduling:
- An in-person appointment, or
- A Zoom/virtual appointment
Please attend the appointment format selected in Navigate.
Appointment Expectations
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
Students who arrive more than:
- 10 minutes late for a 30-minute appointment,
- 7 minutes late for a 20-minute appointment, or
- 3 minutes late for a 10-minute appointment
will be marked as a no-show and will need to reschedule.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel your appointment in Navigate as soon as possible so that the appointment time may become available for another student.
Graduate Advising
Graduate students will work as a team with their faculty committee chair, their Academic Advisor, and The Graduate and Professional School to navigate their graduate programs, plan their graduate coursework and complete steps to graduation.
