The field of nutrition offers an exciting and diverse range of research opportunities that address some of the most pressing health challenges of our time. From exploring dietary interactions and cutting-edge stem cell biology to tackling issues like obesity, diabetes, and colon cancer, our research makes a real-world impact. Faculty experts also lead studies on dietary guidelines, food safety education, and community-focused nutrition and physical activity interventions—all with the goal of improving lives. Supported by over $3 million in annual grants, our multidisciplinary projects provide undergraduates with the chance to work alongside renowned researchers, contribute to meaningful discoveries, and develop skills for future careers in science and health.

Eligibility
The NURISh program is open to U.S. undergraduates studying nutrition, biology, chemistry, or any life science, who will be entering their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior+ year in Fall 2025.
