Degrees and Programs

The Texas A&M University Department of Nutrition is renowned for training high-caliber students in high demand degrees and programs. Our students go on to pursue careers in academia, clinics, industry, government, public heath and the nonprofit sector. We offer small class sizes and provide undergraduate and graduate students with superior problem-solving and critical thinking skills that further the understanding of health and nutrition; and engaging society in the adoption and maintenance of healthy food and nutrition behaviors.

Specialized Undergraduate Track Options

Our B.S. Nutrition degree offers two specialized tracks to provide students with more opportunities to excel academically and provide flexibility in their chosen career path. 

Didactic Program in Dietetics

The strong science foundation provided in our ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) prepares students for a dietetic internship and the Registered Dietitian path, medical school, or graduate studies in other health professions like pharmacy and nursing.

Didactic Program in Dietetics Track

Human Health

The Human Health Track prepares students for careers in the human health sector such as biomedical research, professional schools in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry and physician assistant.
