The Search Advisory Committee seeks nominations and applications for the position of Department Head of Nutrition in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2021. Members of the university community may either self-nominate or nominate potential candidates for the position of Department Head. Candidates must be tenured and hold the rank of professor at Texas A&M University. Nominees will be contacted to request that they submit an application.
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University invites applications for up to four full time tenured/tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions with a nine month academic appointment beginning spring semester 2022. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Assistant or Associate Professor. The department seeks individuals who demonstrate expertise in how diet influences biological mechanisms relevant to the mechanistic understanding and prevention of chronic diseases including obesity, diabetes, cancer, aging and inflammation-related disorders. To meet the needs of the emerging field of precision nutrition, the department has an interest in building on its strengths in the basic sciences and expanding its translational and applied nutrition research. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise that complements the strengths of the department and advances the initiatives of precision nutrition.
