Welcome to the dietetics program at Texas A&M University – College Station.
Are you interested in food and nutrition, science, or working with people? Then you may want to consider a career in dietetics.
Nutrition is essential for health and disease prevention and the field of nutrition and dietetics is a growing profession. An education in dietetics provides you with opportunities to work in diverse settings to help people improve their health and wellness. Additionally, the strong science foundation provided in our program prepares you for success in a dietetic internship and graduate program.
Texas A&M’s Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), which prepares graduates for a dietetic internship, which is required to become a Registered Dietitian (RD). In January 2016, ACEND voted to continue full accreditation of the Texas A&M DPD Program for a seven-year term ending June 30, 2023.
